Jinggoy denies Erap made promise to China on BRP Sierra Madre

Senator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada denied claims that his father, former President Joseph Estrada, made a promise to China to remove the BRP Sierra Madre from Ayungin Shoal.

Estrada said he spoke with former Defense Secretary Orly Mercado, who confirmed there was no such agreement during Estrada's presidency.

Jinggoy and his brother JV Ejercito also dismissed columnist Roberto Tiglao’s assertion as hearsay.
