Jillian Santos returns to UAAP with De La Salle

Jillian Santos, a 5-foot-10 opposite spiker who played in the US NCAA Division 1 for three years with the University of Illinois Chicago, has returned to the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament with De La Salle.

Santos decided to come back home to pursue a master’s degree at La Salle while playing as a two-and-through player this season and aims to contribute to De La Salle's efforts to regain their championship title lost last year.

The psychology student-athlete expressed her excitement about reconnecting with former teammates from NU, UST, Ateneo Blue Eagles, including Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, Detdet Pepito, Regina Jurado, Pia Abbu, and teammate in Season 84.

Santos is eager to adapt to the Philippine playing style after experiencing a different level of play in the US and learning valuable lessons during her time there, including becoming captain of UIC in her last season.

With Santos on board, the Lady Spikers aim to recapture the title they last won in Season 85 as they seek to rebound from a heartbreaking loss in Season 86.
