Heart Aquino visits Comelec, pledges to educate youth voters

Contestant Heart Aquino from 'It's Showtime' visited the Commission on Elections (Comelec) headquarters in Intramuros, Manila after admitting limited knowledge about the election body.

Aquino was given a tour by Comelec officials and met with chairman George Erwin Garcia, where she expressed better understanding of Comelec’s functions following her visit.

After her guided tour, Aquino pledged to use her social media influence to educate young voters on voter registration and civic engagement for the upcoming May polls.

Comelec's Atty. Frances Arabe suggested that Aquino could serve as an influencer for educating youth about voting importance, emphasizing Comelec’s willingness to reach out to younger generations.

Aquino acknowledged being affected by social media backlash but appealed for support in promoting voter education among young voters.
