Gulmatico, Alejado win women's youth cycling races

Allaeza Mae Gulmatico and Maria Louisse Crisselle Alejado won their respective individual time trial races in the PhilCycling National Championships for Road on Tuesday, February 25.

Gulmatico secured victory in the Women's Youth 1 ITT with a time of 14 minutes and 45.90 seconds, narrowly beating Ysabel Nicole Jamero by just 38-hundredths of a second under cold drizzle and strong crosswind conditions.

Alejado dominated the Youth 2 race with a time of 22:46.51 over an 8.60-kilometer course, finishing ahead of silver medalist Yvaine Osias by 24 seconds and bronze winner Althea Coronado by more than three minutes.

Jaime Yuendhale Chavez won gold in the Men Youth 2 event with a time of 22:50.93, while Jazmine Kaye Vinoya narrowly missed a second gold medal, finishing just five seconds behind Mary Gwennielle Francisco in the Women Junior ITT.

John Ace Villasenor secured the top spot in the Men Junior ITT with a time of 29:21.31, followed closely by Emmanuel Vicente and Ely Ignacio III.
