Ilocos Norte teams kick off 'Set Na Natin 'To' Trophy Tour

A mini-tournament among four Ilocos Norte teams will kick off the 'Set Na Natin 'To' Trophy and Mascot Tour this Saturday, August 24, at SM City Laoag as part of the campaign for the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship 2025.

The participating teams—Block Builders, Laoag MVT, PSQ, and NWU—will compete in Dap Ayan Park to highlight activities leading up to the championship set to take place from September 12 to 28 in Manila.

This event marks a significant milestone as it is the first major activity at SM City Laoag since its opening in May, with tickets for the World Championship available online.

Invitations have been extended to local officials including Governor Cecilia Marcos and Mayor James Bryan Alcid for the day-long event that starts at 10 a.m. and concludes with a formal program at 6 p.m.

The tour began last Saturday in Cebu City and will conclude on August 30 in Cagayan de Oro, after which it will proceed to SM Downtown in the same city.

Alas Pilipinas is currently training in Santo Tirso, Portugal, for the upcoming world championship, with veteran players Bryan Bagunas and Marck Espejo recovering well.
