Speaker Romualdez praises Marcos's economic team for low inflation

Romualdez attributed this positive trend to sound leadership and strong policies under President Marcos's administration, emphasizing the focus on stabilizing prices and ensuring food security.

The House leader stated that lawmakers will support these efforts by passing laws aimed at reducing costs for ordinary Filipinos, including lowering food expenses and creating jobs.

Albay 2nd district Rep. Joey Salceda noted a significant year-on-year decline in rice prices and suggested potential for further rate cuts and fiscal expansion.

Salceda stressed the importance of initiatives such as improving farm inputs, logistics, and cold storage to stabilize the fruits and vegetable sector, while calling for structural reforms to improve trade and transportation.
