House plenary session continues with reduced attendance due to Typhoon Enteng

The House of Representatives will proceed with its scheduled plenary session and committee hearings on Tuesday, September 3, but only essential personnel are required to report for work.

House Secretary General Reginald Velasco urged employees to prioritize their safety amid the strong rains and floods caused by Tropical Storm Enteng, noting that those facing difficulties in reaching Batasang Pambansa due to weather conditions will be excused from their duties.

Scheduled hearings include the proposed budgets of the Commission on Human Rights and the Commission on Elections, as well as meetings of other committees.

The government has suspended work and classes in Metro Manila to ensure public safety during Typhoon Enteng, which has caused fatalities across the Philippines.
