House majority and minority back Speaker Cayetano

The majority and minority blocs of the House of Representatives expressed support for Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano during a power struggle.

In separate manifestos signed on September 27, both groups endorsed Cayetano's leadership, emphasizing its importance amid budget deliberations crucial to post-COVID recovery.

The minority bloc, in particular, highlighted that under Cayetano’s leadership, their views and ideas were given attention and met with discussion rather than dismissal.
