House bill sets post-quarantine rules for masks, distancing

House leaders filed House Bill 6623 on Tuesday to establish post-quarantine rules for workplaces and public spaces.

The bill mandates wearing masks in public and workplaces, social distancing of at least one meter, temperature checks, and availability of hand washing or sanitizing stations.

Penalties include a P1,000 fine for not wearing a mask in public.

Gatherings will be highly regulated with guidelines set by local government units (LGUs) through 'new normal' permits.
