House confident in passing supplemental budget for Mindoro oil spill

Albay 2nd District Rep. Joey Salceda is confident that a supplemental budget will be approved by the House of Representatives to address the oil spill off Oriental Mindoro.

The oil spill, caused by the sinking of MT Princess Empress on February 28, threatens marine life and could have devastating consequences for fish supply and tourism.

Salceda said they are prepared to propose a supplemental budget if requested by President Marcos Jr., and does not expect significant resistance in either chamber.
