House OKs P162-B Bayanihan 2 Act

On Wednesday, June 3, the House Committee of the Whole approved the 'Bayanihan to Recover As One Act', a bill proposing P162 billion in interventions to aid the country's recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.

The bill includes a comprehensive list of 64 measures for the executive branch to combat the pandemic and boost the economy, covering sectors like testing protocols and aid for transport and tourism industries.

The House plenary convened as the Committee of the Whole on Thursday morning to swiftly pass the bill, which was renamed from its original substitute bill form.
