House approves bill mandating RT-PCR testing for vulnerable sectors

The House of Representatives approved on final reading a bill mandating RT-PCR testing for vulnerable sectors, including those without symptoms but with travel history or contact with confirmed cases.

The bill, known as the Crushing COVID Act, aims to provide available, affordable, and accessible RT-PCR tests for frontliners, Filipino workers with preexisting conditions, individuals entering the Philippines, and others required by doctors.

It also seeks to reduce mortality rates through early detection and management of COVID-19 cases.
