Magnolia clinches playoff spot, beats Meralco 129-92

Magnolia secured a playoff spot in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup with a dominant win over Meralco by a score of 129-92 on Friday at the PhilSports Arena.

Ricardo Ratliffe led Magnolia with 31 points and 19 rebounds, while Zav Lucero contributed 22 points and three assists.

Magnolia will face NLEX in a playoff for the eighth seed position on Sunday to determine their quarterfinal opponent.

The game was essentially a non-bearing contest for Meralco as they had already secured the fifth spot prior to this match.

Rain or Shine secured the sixth seed after defeating TNT Tropang Giga, avoiding a win-or-go-home clash with Magnolia and setting up a best-of-three series against Converge FiberXers.
