Hopson's four-point shot clinches Converge win

Scotty Hopson hit a historic four-point shot with just 3.6 seconds left to give the Converge FiberXers a narrow 96-95 victory over the TNT Tropang GIGA in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Tuesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The game was tightly contested, with both teams trading leads until Hopson's late shot secured Converge's win after a comeback from being down by as much as 16 points earlier.

Converge coach Franco Atienza praised his team for sticking to their system and credited the four-point line for the victory.

Hopson led all scorers with 28 points, including two successful four-point shots, while also grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out four assists.

Despite TNT's efforts, with standout performances from Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (32 points) and Calvin Oftana (22 points, 10 rebounds), Converge managed to hold on for the victory.
