Herbosa prioritizes COVID exit plan, TB, HIV issues

Newly appointed Health Secretary Ted Herbosa will focus on developing a comprehensive COVID-19 exit plan and addressing tuberculosis (TB) and HIV cases, as instructed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Herbosa noted that the Philippines ranks ninth globally for TB prevalence and is among countries with high HIV transmission rates among youth.

He also emphasized the need to digitalize certain processes within the Department of Health to improve efficiency and better serve public health care needs.
