Health workers can skip Sinovac, wait for alternative vaccines

Some Marikina health workers are hesitant to receive the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine, preferring one with a higher efficacy rate.

President Duterte advised those who do not want the Sinovac vaccine to wait for AstraZeneca or another option within a few days.

DOH spokesperson Maria Rosario Vergeire clarified that health workers can choose whether to receive the Sinovac vaccine and will remain on the priority list if they decline it.

Malacañang stated that healthcare workers who refuse the Sinovac vaccine will still be prioritized when other vaccines become available.
