HDN welcomes glass case for Black Nazarene in 2024 Traslacion

The Hijos Del Nazareno (HDN) welcomed changes for the 2024 Traslacion procession, including a glass case around the Black Nazarene to protect it while allowing devotees to touch part of the cross.

Val Samia, HDN Central Head, said members are preparing physically and participating in orientation sessions to ensure safety and holiness during the event.

Father Jesus Madrid Jr., Quiapo Church Parochial Vicar, expects a similar or higher number of devotees compared to previous years as preparations include inspecting the procession route for safety hazards.
