Habagat brings rain, thunderstorms to parts of PH

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect various parts of the Philippines on Sunday, according to PAGASA's latest forecast.

Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Central Visayas will experience cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to Habagat, while Eastern Visayas and most parts of Mindanao may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon and evening.

Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may also occur during severe thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds from the southwest direction will prevail over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro with slight to moderate seas.
