India's Rachel Gupta wins Miss Grand International, Philippines' CJ Opiaza runner-up

Missosology has released its final hot picks for the Miss Grand International 2024 pageant, placing India's Rachel Gupta as the winner and the Philippines' CJ Opiaza as the first runner-up.

Rachel Gupta leads the list of top contenders, followed by CJ Opiaza from the Philippines in second place. Other notable mentions include Myanmar, France, Brazil, Venezuela, Indonesia, Mexico, Colombia, and Japan.

CJ Opiaza advanced to the Top 10 during the pageant's coronation night on October 25 in Bangkok, Thailand, alongside candidates from other countries such as India, Myanmar, Peru, Spain, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic.

During the swimsuit competition, Opiaza showcased her physique in a white two-piece swimwear adorned with gold filigrees, impressing judges and audiences alike.

In her final walk at the final round, Opiaza tripped slightly but quickly recovered to continue her signature pasarela.

Miss Grand International 2023 titleholder Luciana Fuster crowned India's Rachel Gupta as the new Miss Grand International, while CJ Opiaza follows in the footsteps of Nicole Cordoves (2016) and Samantha Bernardo (2021), who both finished first runner-up.
