Gunman says 'Bantag' ordered Percy Lapid killing

Self-confessed gunman Joel Escorial stated in a supplemental affidavit that a person named 'Bantag' ordered the killing of broadcaster Percy Lapid.

Escorial said Villamor, an alleged middleman inside New Bilibid Prison who died after being suffocated with a plastic bag, instructed him not to reveal Bantag's name if caught by police.

Villamor reportedly told Escorial it was okay for him to implicate Villamor but warned that he himself would be killed if the person behind the order was named.
