Filipino-American Guinchard scores first HK Eastern 4-pointer in PBA

Filipino-American professional basketball player Steven Guinchard, who plays for Hong Kong Eastern in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) as a guest team, continues to make waves with his strong connection and impressive performance in the league.

Guinchard recently married Jessrine in Siargao last July and is well-versed in Philippine basketball culture, noting that his wife's family has been following the PBA for years.

The French-Taiwanese guard contributed significantly to Eastern's 2-0 start in the Commissioner's Cup with a standout performance against Converge on November 29, scoring 14 points including two successful four-point shots and two three-pointers.

Guinchard made history as the first player from Hong Kong Eastern to score from the new four-point line introduced this season, hitting two of three attempts, and emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and unity within his team.

Looking ahead, Guinchard expressed enthusiasm about continuing his success with more four-point shots in their upcoming match against Rain or Shine on December 4.
