Gov't plans special vax days in BARMM after elections

The government plans to hold special vaccination days in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) after the May 9 elections to address low vaccination rates.

Dr. Ted Herbosa, NTF Against Covid special medical adviser, expressed concern over a potential surge of COVID-19 cases during Ramadan and suggested a special vaccination day post-elections.

The DILG noted that BARMM has the lowest vaccination rate among 17 regions with only 25% fully inoculated out of its target population of three million.
