Galvez: LGUs key to successful vaccine rollout

National Policy Against Covid-19 chief implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. said Thursday that the national government is ready to support Quezon City's plan to vaccinate non-resident workers.

Galvez emphasized on Wednesday that planning and preparation by local government units (LGUs) are crucial for a successful nationwide immunization program.

He also highlighted the importance of LGU roles in implementing the vaccine roadmap, including preparing vaccination sites and providing vaccinators.

On Tuesday, Galvez advised considering larger areas with enough space to ensure minimum health standards during the identification of vaccination sites.
