DA offers P2.5B in interest-free loans for OFWs to venture into agri-business

The Department of Agriculture (DA) is offering interest-free loans to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to encourage them to start agriculture-related businesses.

These loans are part of the government’s 'Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-Asa' program aimed at revitalizing rural areas and reducing congestion in urban centers.

The DA has allocated P2.5 billion for three loan programs: SURE COVID-19, KAYA, and ANYO, all offering zero interest rates with technical assistance from the government.
