GMA's 'Sanggre' trends on X, debuts with dragon battle

GMA Network's 'Sang'gre' made a strong debut on primetime, with the hashtag '#SanggreWorldPremiere' trending first in the Philippines on X (formerly Twitter) with over 30,000 tweets.

The pilot episode featured the original sang'gres Pirena, Amihan, Alena, and Danaya riding horses towards Lireo and battling a giant dragon, which took place before they were entrusted with their gems.

New character Mitena, played by Rhian Ramos, was introduced as the Ice Queen of Mine-a-ve, commanding attention for her commanding presence and storyline.

'Sang'gre' airs weekdays at 8 p.m. on GMA Prime following '24 Oras,' with viewers praising its visual effects and faithfulness to the lore established in 'Encantadia.'

The series also introduces new keepers of the gems: Faith Da Silva, Bianca Umali, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda, who have yet to make their appearance.

Producers revealed during a media conference that 'Sang'gre' was in production for two years, highlighting the dedication of the cast and creatives to maintaining high-quality storytelling.
