Globe prepares for Tropical Storm Marce with backup power and emergency services

Globe Telecom is preparing for Tropical Storm Marce (Yinxing), which entered the Philippine area of responsibility on Monday and could intensify into a severe tropical storm.

The company is equipping network facilities along the storm's path with generator sets and batteries to mitigate potential power outages, while prepositioning technical crews and emergency supplies.

Globe also plans to set up 'Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging and Libreng WiFi' stations in severely affected areas to provide connectivity support.

Yoly Crisanto, Globe's chief sustainability and corporate communications officer, assured customers that the company is making all necessary preparations for Marce following recent storms Kristine and Leon.

Globe encourages communities to prepare by storing essential supplies and staying informed through legitimate sources and SMS alerts from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
