TNT Tropang Giga beats Barangay Ginebra 95-89 in Game 1

TNT Tropang Giga secured a decisive win in Game 1 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup finals against Barangay Ginebra on Friday, March 14, winning by a score of 95-89.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson led TNT with an outstanding performance of 34 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists, earning Player of the Game honors; however, his teammates also contributed significantly with six players making at least one three-pointer.

TNT built a significant early lead by dropping eight 3-pointers in the first quarter, extending their halftime advantage to 16 points before Ginebra's late-game surge narrowed the gap to four points.

Gin Kings head coach Tim Cone acknowledged his team’s shortcomings and vowed to change the narrative as they prepare for Game 2 on Sunday, March 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Justin Brownlee led Ginebra with a strong performance of 28 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists, but it was not enough to overcome TNT's early lead and consistent defense; TNT coach Chot Reyes emphasized the importance of maintaining their offensive efficiency in subsequent games.
