Gin Kings rout Rain or Shine 120-92, secure quarterfinal spot

The Gin Kings secured a dominant victory over the Rain or Shine ElastoPainters with a score of 120-92 in their Wednesday evening game at the Ynares Center, marking Ginebra's best performance this conference and cementing their place in the quarterfinals for a record 47th consecutive PBA conference.

Ginebra head coach Tim Cone praised his team's performance, noting that it was one of their best games this season and came at an opportune time as they aim to secure a top-six position for the playoffs.

Scottie Thompson led with 22 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, emphasizing the urgency of each game as the playoffs approach, while Justin Brownlee contributed significantly with 29 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists.

Troy Rosario also scored in double digits with 14 points, helping Ginebra improve to a 7-4 record and avoid being placed in a twice-to-win scenario for the 7th and 8th ranked teams.

Despite the victory, Coach Cone warned against complacency, stressing the importance of controlling what they can control to secure a top-six spot, especially with their final game against Meralco on January 29.
