FIBA postpones Gilas-Thailand game over coronavirus

Gilas Pilipinas coach Mark Dickel expressed understanding over the postponement of the team's FIBA Asia Cup qualifying game against Thailand due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The game, originally scheduled for February 20 at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, has been postponed and may be rescheduled to a later date.

Dickel sees this as an opportunity to further develop team cohesion and roles.

FIBA also announced the postponement of Gilas Pilipinas' home game against Thailand and two games for China due to confirmed cases of COVID-19 in those countries.

Gilas Pilipinas will now focus on their February 23 game against Indonesia in Jakarta, barring any further changes.
