Gilas faces tough Bahrain opener at Asian Games

Gilas Pilipinas will face Bahrain in their opening match at the 19th Asian Games on Tuesday.

Head coach Tim Cone expects Bahrain to be a challenging opponent due to their ability to shoot well and apply pressure despite not being a traditionally large Middle Eastern team.

Bahrain recently performed impressively in the Fiba Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament, finishing undefeated with standout performances from Wayne Chism and Mosti Rashed.
