Gilas 3x3 out of medal contention after losing to South Korea

Gilas Pilipinas' 3x3 team failed to secure a medal at the Asian Games after losing to South Korea, 19-16, in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

The Philippines struggled early and trailed by seven points before cutting the deficit late but ultimately fell short due to poor shooting from beyond the arc.

John Rey Pasaol led Gilas with six points while Justine Sanchez added three. South Korea's Lee Weon-seok scored seven points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Gilas previously won their quarterfinal qualifier against Kazakhstan, 15-14, but earlier suffered a loss to Mongolia which affected their seeding.
