Ex-police chief testifies on Duterte drug war rewards

A retired police official, Royina Garma, testified before a Philippine House committee and accused former President Rodrigo Duterte and his aide Christopher Go of setting up a reward system for killings during the country's controversial drug war.

Garma's testimony has brought new attention to the drug war under Duterte's presidency, with some lawmakers referring to it as 'just the tip of the iceberg'.

The investigation is expected to continue into the 20th Congress.
