Duterte backs plan to vaccinate poor Filipinos with COVAX jabs

President Duterte supports Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.'s proposal to vaccinate poor Filipinos against COVID-19 as soon as possible.

Galvez suggested during a meeting at Malacañang on Monday night that the vaccination of priority workers and indigents should begin by end-May using COVAX Facility vaccines.

Duterte agreed, suggesting that healthcare providers enter communities to vaccinate those who have difficulty traveling to vaccination sites.
