Galvez: Good info drive needed to boost COVID-19 vaccine awareness

Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. emphasized the need for a robust information campaign to educate Filipinos about the upcoming COVID-19 vaccination drive.

Galvez noted that 66% of Filipinos are willing to get vaccinated, while 31% are unwilling, based on a Social Weather Station survey.

He stressed the importance of using local government units (LGUs) and private corporation platforms to raise public awareness.

Galvez also mentioned the lessons learned from previous vaccine rollouts, such as the Dengvaxia controversy, highlighting the need for better information dissemination.
