Garin denies wanting own vaccine allocation

Iloilo Representative Janette Garin denied claims by vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. that she wants her own allocation of COVID-19 vaccines.

Garin stated during a virtual presser that she only seeks an equitable and fair distribution of vaccines, calling Galvez's claim a 'big lie'.

Galvez, in turn, denied allegations of favoritism in vaccine distribution, stating that vaccines are distributed to regional health centers and local government units.

He also said Garin is asking for an allocation which would complicate the accounting process and hinder other LGUs' access to vaccines.
