Galeries Tower advances to semis with win over Philippine Navy

Second-seeded Galeries Tower defeated No. 3 Philippine Navy, 80-67, on Wednesday night to advance to the semifinals of the 2025 Women's Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Invitational.

Cindy Resultay led the Skyrisers with a game-high 27 points and six rebounds, helping them bounce back from their Game 1 loss to the Lady Sailors on April 6.

Galeries Tower head coach Ai Lebornio credited her team's emotional response for their comeback victory, emphasizing the importance of pride and determination.

Maymay Canuto contributed 14 points with four assists and steals, while Ambie Almazan added a double-double with 10 points and rebounds along with three assists and two blocks.

Galeries Tower will face University of Santo Tomas in the semifinals at 4 p.m. on Sunday, while Discovery Perlas will play against Pilipinas Aguilas at 6 p.m., both matches set to take place at the New Era Gym.
