Ara Galang leads Chery Tiggo to victory in volleyball debut

Ara Galang led Chery Tiggo Crossovers to a dominant 25-6, 25-15, 25-15 victory over Capital1 Solar Spikers in their debut match at the PhilSports Arena on Tuesday.

Galang scored 12 points with nine attacks, two aces, and one block, expressing excitement about her new teammates who she finds easy to play with and credited Chery Tiggo for giving her a second chance after F2 Logistics' disbandment.

Both Galang and Aby Maraño expressed enthusiasm about joining the young squad, noting that transitioning to their new team was seamless and they felt at home playing alongside their new teammates.

Chery Tiggo capitalized on early momentum to dominate the first two sets before responding to Capital1's brief surge in the third set with a decisive run led by Galang.

Mylene Paat added 11 points for Chery Tiggo, while Janine Navarro was the top scorer for Capital1 with six points.

After their strong debut performance, Chery Tiggo will face another newcomer, Strong Group Athletics, on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
