Fuel prices up for 9th straight week

Fuel prices will rise for the ninth consecutive week starting Tuesday, September 5.

Local oil firms including Caltex, Cleanfuel, Jetti Petroleum, Petro Gazz, Phoenix Petroleum, Seaoil, and Shell will raise gasoline prices by PHP0.50 per liter and diesel prices by PHP1.20 per liter.

Kerosene prices will also increase by PHP1.10 per liter.

This price hike is attributed to the continued production cuts by OPEC+, which is expected to keep global oil prices elevated for the remainder of the year.
