Former Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim dies at 90

Former Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim died on Saturday at the age of 90.

Lim served as Manila mayor from 1992 to 1999 and again from 2007 to 2013, and also held positions such as senator from 2004 to 2007, director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) from 1989 to 1992, and secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government during President Joseph Estrada's administration.

Malacañang expressed condolences to Lim’s family, noting his legacy in fighting criminality and drugs.

On Sunday, Arlington Memorial Chapels shared photos of Lim's cremation rites.
