Lim dies at 90 due to COVID-19; city leaders mourn

Former Manila mayor Alfredo Lim died on Saturday at 90 due to complications from COVID-19.

Manila Mayor Francisco 'Isko Moreno' Domagoso and Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque expressed condolences, praising Lim's dedication to public order and tough stance against criminality and drugs.

Lim served as Manila mayor twice (1992-1998 and 2007-2013), was a senator, Interior Secretary, and former chief of the National Bureau of Investigation.

Former President Joseph 'Erap' Estrada also mourned Lim's passing, recalling their rivalry in mayoral races.
