Ford Everest crash at NAIA kills 2, injures 4; NNIC to cover expenses

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, two people died after a black Ford Everest crashed into the departure area of NAIA Terminal 1.

New NAIA Infra Corp (NNIC) president Ramon S. Ang announced he would cover all medical expenses for the injured and provide financial assistance to the families of the deceased.

The driver of the vehicle, now in police custody with his license suspended pending investigation, reportedly panicked and mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes.

Four individuals were injured, including a five-year-old girl and a 28-year-old man who died on the scene, along with another four-year-old girl who was hurt.

NNIC is cooperating with authorities to support ongoing response and investigation efforts.

Ang expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
