Father urges justice after daughter dies in car crash at NAIA

A four-year-old girl, Maliya Masongsong, died in a tragic car accident at NAIA Terminal 1 on Sunday, May 4, while her father, Danmark (Mark) Masongsong, was preparing to leave for work abroad.

Danmark, who is still grieving over his daughter's death, postponed his flight and rushed back upon receiving news of the incident; Maliya's mother Cynthia remains hospitalized with critical injuries and has yet to be informed about their daughter's passing.

The crash also critically injured Maliya's grandmother Editha Soriano and her niece Safiya, while 15-year-old Dearick Keo Faustino died on the spot.

Danmark hopes that the driver will be held accountable for his actions which killed two persons and injured several others; Leo Gonzales faces reckless imprudence charges resulting in homicide and physical injuries.

The distraught father is urging the government to help him seek justice for Maliya's death, emphasizing the need for accountability.
