Kat Tolentino undergoes appendix surgery, misses games

Kat Tolentino, a player for Choco Mucho in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), underwent surgery on Tuesday after being diagnosed with a ruptured appendix.

Tolentino was hospitalized on Monday due to severe abdominal pain and will miss her team's upcoming games as she recovers.

The Flying Titans won their Thursday match against PLDT, dedicating the victory to Tolentino while she is recovering from surgery.

Choco Mucho released a statement urging everyone to pray for her quick recovery, noting that the team historically adapts well to player injuries.

In November 2024, Tolentino also revealed that she had an auditory condition and has been battling through three ACL surgeries and vertigo throughout her career.

The veteran opposite hitter is crucial in Choco Mucho's campaign during the ongoing PVL All-Filipino Conference with a total of 79 points and 40 digs.
