Alas Pilipinas coach Jorge Souza De Brito extends contract to 2025 SEA Games

Brazilian coach Jorge Souza De Brito has extended his contract with Alas Pilipinas women's volleyball team after leading them to a historic bronze medal finish in the AVC Challenge Cup.

De Brito, whose new contract will last until next year's Southeast Asian Games, expressed happiness and pride over the team's achievements and their commitment to improvement despite rising expectations.

Reflecting on his extended tenure, De Brito emphasized the importance of remaining grounded while acknowledging the potential with more training time for upcoming tournaments like the FIVB Challenger Cup qualifier against Vietnam.

The coach plans to retain key players from the Challenge Cup victory, including Jia De Guzman and Angel Canino, while adding new talents such as Bella Belen and Alyssa Solomon for future competitions.

De Brito thanked stakeholders such as the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), PVL, UAAP, NCAA, and university teams for their support in developing Philippine volleyball.
