First Lady Liza Marcos in Saudi for OFW services

First Lady Louise 'Liza' Araneta-Marcos is in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until July 20 for a working visit to meet with overseas Filipino workers.

During her stay, she will visit shelters for distressed Filipina workers and children and launch an EGOV one-stop shop as part of the OWWA Serbisyo Caravan, offering services such as legal aid, financial support, and welfare counseling.

Liza left Manila on Thursday, July 17, due to a scheduling conflict with President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.'s trip to the United States next week.

The First Lady aims to provide Filipino workers and their families access to government services through the EGOV initiative during her visit.

Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro announced that Liza's absence is due to this scheduling conflict.
