First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos joins OFW Serbisyo Caravan in Riyadh

The Philippine government's Bagong Bayani ng Mundo: OFW Serbisyo Caravan has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as part of efforts to provide essential services directly to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), with First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos joining the event on Friday.

Led by the Department of Migrant Workers and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the caravan offers a range of services including legal consultations, psychosocial counseling, contract verification, and business support assistance to OFWs.

Twelve government agencies are participating in the initiative aimed at bringing whole-of-government services closer to OFWs under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive, honoring their contributions as modern-day heroes.

First Lady Araneta-Marcos' visit highlights the administration's commitment to promoting and protecting the welfare of OFWs and includes a tour of shelters for distressed Filipino women, workers, and children in Riyadh.

The event marks the start of several planned stops across the Middle East through August following its launch in Hong Kong in June.
