Filipinos visit cemeteries for Undas after pandemic ban

Millions of Filipinos visited cemeteries on November 1 and 2 for All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day respectively, marking the first time since 2019 that such visits were allowed due to the pandemic.

Manila collected 43.82% more garbage compared to Undas in 2019, with at least 425,000 people visiting Manila North and South cemeteries on All Saints' Day alone.

Local government units have been preparing for health and safety protocols, noting that 63 unvaccinated minors were turned away from the Manila North Cemetery and one person collapsed at the Manila South Cemetery.
