FEU dominates UAAP Season 87 Rapid Chess Championships

Far Eastern University (FEU) continued its dominant performance in the UAAP Season 87 Rapid Chess Championships, securing top playoff seeds in three divisions over the weekend.

In the boys' division, FEU maintained a flawless record with strong performances from Oscar Cantela and Franklin Andes who both scored four points each.

Lyn Getubig remained undefeated in four matches to secure FEU's lead in the girls' division ahead of their semifinal match against University of Santo Tomas on March 29.

In the men's division, FIDE Master Mark Bacojo contributed significantly with 4.5 points as FEU secured a spot for the gold-medal series showdown against the University of the Philippines.

De La Salle University and Ateneo de Manila University have already clinched semifinal spots in the women's division, with Angele Biete earning four points to lead DLSU into their semifinals match against UST.
