Evan Nelle leads La Salle to UAAP title

Evan Nelle led De La Salle University to the UAAP Season 86 men's basketball championship with a 73-69 victory over UP Fighting Maroons in front of a record-breaking crowd of 25,192 at the Araneta Coliseum on December 6.

Nelle averaged 10.9 points, 6.8 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals throughout the season, nearly achieving a triple-double in the final two games with 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 8.5 assists.

The guard expressed vindication and fulfillment, acknowledging his teammates' support through difficult times and emphasizing the strong camaraderie within the team.

Nelle also shared an interaction with Kitty Duterte during the game, where she recognized his efforts towards securing the championship.
