Guevarra: Elderly inmates included in vaccine priority list

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra announced on Wednesday that elderly persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) aged 60 and above are included in the vaccine priority list under the senior citizen category.

Guevarra stated that while PDLs over 60 will be vaccinated, the IATF has not yet determined their specific order of preference within the senior citizen group.

Kapatid, an advocacy group for political prisoners, had appealed to the DOH to include all PDLs in the vaccination program, but no official statement from the DOH was available as of Wednesday.
